Stem Cell Treatment
The  discovery of  stem cells  is  in  line  with  the great  achievements  of  humanity  as  the  discovery of double-stranded  DNA  chain. The term "stem cell" was first introduced in 1908 by Russian  hematologist Maksimov from St. Petersburg. This year could be considered as the beginning of the history of stem cells.
The ability of
stem cells to self-renew and give rise to subsequent generations with variable degrees of differentiation capacities, offers significant potential for generation of tissues that can potentially replace diseased and damaged areas in the body, with minimal risk of rejection and side effects. Stem Cell therapy/ transplant has been broadly studied in animals and then in humans during last few decades.

The outstanding Russian scientists A. Maximow (1874–1928), and A. Friedenstein (1924–1998), consecrated their lives to the study of stem cells. A. Maximow created a theory of hematopoiesis and a concept of hematopoietic stem cells, A. Friedenstein discovered mesenchymal stem cells and the hematopoietic microenvironment. The achievement of both researchers inspired other scientists and doctors to develop hematopoietic stem cell transplantation and other methods of cellular therapy as a treatment for a variety of severe diseases.
Scientists/doctors of Antan Health Research Centre have achieved a great success in saving the lives of many patients suffering with various life threatening diseases like Cirrhosis of Liver and other.

Till date, stem cell therapy is most effective of the existing methods to cope with serious illness and sometimes the only treatment which can save the patient's life!
